CONDITIONS TREATED BY SHIATSU

Shiatsu is a traditional Japanese massage technique that involves applying pressure to specific parts of the body using fingers, thumbs, palms, and elbows. This massage technique is known to alleviate stress, heal the body, and improve overall wellbeing. In addition to its relaxing effects, Shiatsu has also been found to have therapeutic benefits for a wide range of conditions and ailments. While this list is not exhaustive, it includes some of the most common conditions that may benefit from Shiatsu treatments. Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, stress, sciatica, or other health issues, Shiatsu can be an effective way to support your overall health and wellbeing.

  • Physical pain from headaches, stiff neck, back problems, whiplash, frozen shoulder, repetitive strain injury, sports injuries, trapped nerves, general muscle aches and sciatica
  • Corrects postural misalignment
  • Reproductive issues including fertility, menstrual and menopause problems
  • Support during pregnancy and childbirth and relief for pains and anxiety relating to both.
  • Digestive problems, including irritable bowel syndrome
  • Asthma, eczema, insomnia, stress, depression, low self-esteem, anxiety and palpitation
  • Weak immune system resulting in a repetitive cycle of infections, e.g. tonsillitis, colds, cold sores etc.
  • Rheumatism, arthritis, fatigue, M.E. and fibromyalgia
  • Support during illnesses such as cancer, stroke and addictions

Shiatsu and Craniosacral therapy are also beneficial for those that have no specific conditions. It is deeply relaxing and nurturing. It is a hugely beneficial treatment when giving yourself some me time!

Many people, including myself, have regular Shiatsu treatments and Craniosacral therapy treatments to maintain a healthy balance and to help prevent illness from occurring.
